The Ritz-Carlton, Bachelor Gulch sits nestled in an exclusive ski area of Beaver Creek Mountain in Avon, Colo. This ski-in/ski-out mountain resort is centrally located in the village-to-village ski area between the towns of Beaver Creek and Arrowhead. Located 25 feet from the Bachelor Gulch Express Quad Lift, the resort is less than two miles from Beaver Creek Golf Course.
Hotel Features.
Inspired by the lodges of Yosemite and Yellowstone Parks, the eight-story Ritz-Carlton, Bachelor Gulch incorporates stones, logs and other natural materials in its design. The hotel showcases six various dining venues including casual lunches and dinners in the Great Room, the Fly Fishing Library, the Buffalo Bar and Mountainside Terrace; snacks and pick-up items in Daybreak Deli; and fine dining in Spago's, opening in the the Fall of 2007. The resort's fitness facility offers views of Beaver Creek Mountain and Vail Valley while providing cardiovascular equipment, weight-lifting machines and an aerobics studio. The 21,000-square-foot spa includes 19 treatment rooms, a steam room, sauna, hot and cold plunge pools, and a coed rock grotto relaxation room with a "lazy river" spa tub. Four tennis courts, a heated outdoor pool and three spa tubs are located on-site. On the slopes, the hotel extends ski valet services and offers adults access to the Ski Nanny program. Guided nature hikes are accessed in the lobby.
Guestrooms.
The 180 guestrooms of the Ritz- Carlton, Bachelor Gulch are decorated in wood and leather furnishings, pinecone and foliage embellishments and lamps depicting indigenous wildlife. Feather beds offer 400-thread count Frette Italian linens, goose down and non-allergenic foam pillows and duvets. Amenities include cable television, combination CD player/clock radios and high-speed Internet access. Bathrooms feature separate showers, marble bathtubs, bathrobes and premium bath amenities.
Expert Tip.
The Ritz-Carlton, Bachelor Gulch offers a Loan-a-Lab program with their resident Yellow Labrador Retriever, Bachelor. Guests are given access to Bachelor to hike the local nature trails.
