Built in 1848 by Admiral Sir Thomas Paisley as a retirement home, this three-storey hotel is located in a magnificent country house surrounded by gardens. The hotel has a lounge bar, there is a room service menu, and complimentary parking is available. Guests can also enjoy complimentary use of the Parkland Leisure Centre, one mile from the hotel. Facilities there include squash courts, fitness equipment, a steam room, a sauna, a spa tub and snooker tables.
