Location.
The Angel Inn is located in Stoke-By- Nayland, England. The hotel is eight miles from Flatford, in what is known as 'Constable Country', named after John Constable, the English painter. Colchester and its railway station are eight miles away and Stansted airport is 45 miles from the hotel.
Hotel Features.
The Angel Inn is set in a 16th century oak-beamed coaching house, now an archetypal English country pub and hotel. The bar has leather sofas and an open log fire, and there is a patio for enjoying a pint outdoors. Complimentary parking can be found nearby.
The vaulted Wellroom restaurant, so named for a 52-foot well still in situ, serves lunch and dinner. The menu contains dishes such as Griddled Liver and Bacon with Bubble and Squeak Mash, and King Scallops wrapped with Bacon. A choice of continental or full English breakfast is available for a surcharge.

From Stansted Airport (STN):

Getting there.
A taxi direct from Stansted will cost around 70 GBP. Colchester railway station is 7 miles away, although there is no direct service from there to Stansted. There is an hourly bus service from Stansted to Colchester run by First Airport Buses, which costs 16 GBP return. The 84 bus route runs from Colchester to Stoke-by-Nayland.
Getting around.
The village is easily explored on foot but a car is recommended for the wider area.
Driving directions.
From Stansted Airport, follow signs for the A120 east towards Colchester.
Continue onto the A12 towards Ipswich.
Turn left onto the B1068 for Stoke-by-Nayland.
Once in the village, the Angel Inn is on your left.
