    Lower Slaughter Manor is located in the village of Lower Slaughter in the Cotswolds in England. The hotel is one mile from Upper Slaughter and five miles from Cotswold Farm Park. Moreton-in-Marsh train station is six miles away.

    Hotel Features.
    Lower Slaughter Manor is set in five acres of landscaped gardens with Redwood and Horse Chestnut trees and the River Eye at the front. The hotel is built in a 17th-century country house accented by rose beds and a small water fountain. The back lawn is laid for croquet with flowerbeds and a rear wall edged with fruit trees. A tennis court can be found at the back of the property.

    The hotel serves a complimentary full English breakfast daily. The Slaughter Restaurant is set amid chocolate brown silk walls, Murano crystal and chandeliers and serves dishes such as Oak Smoked Crown of Quail and Baked Valrhona Chocolate Souffle. Al fresco dining is available during the summer months.

    Getting there.
    A free Skyrail monorail runs every couple of minutes from Terminal 1 to Birmingham's International train station and the city's National Exhibition Centre (NEC). From the train station, trains depart for Moreton-in-Marsh train station, six miles from Lower Slaughter Manor. Black cabs are available 24 hours a day from an official rank in front of the airport passenger terminals. The fare to Lower Slaughter Manor is approximately 160 GBP. Prices are all subject to change.


    Getting around.
    The village of Lower Slaughter is compact and easily explored on foot. A car is recommended for exploring further afield.


    Driving directions.
    From Birmingham Airport.
    Take the M42.
    Exit at Junction 3A onto the M40 South, in the direction of Warwick.
    Exit at Junction 15 and take the A429 all the way to Stow on the Wold.
    Continue towards Bourton on the Water.
    About three miles beyond Stow, just past the Texaco garage on the right, there is a turning signposted 'The Slaughters'. Take a right down that lane.
    The Manor is situated on the right side of the road after two bends in the road.
