Getting there.
Taxis to Ambleside cost about 90 GBP and are available from the airport. TransPennine Express runs trains several times a day from Manchester Airport station to Windermere station, four miles from the hotel. A single ticket costs 16.90 GBP. Taxis can be hired at Windermere for the remainder of the journey. Prices are subject to change.
Getting around.
Ambleside can be explored on foot. A car is recommended for exploring the Lake District.

From Manchester Airport, join the M6 at junction 36.
Follow signs for Windermere and Ambleside.
