- Scandic Linköping Väst is a modern eco-friendly hotel situated in the west of Linköping, four kilometres from the city centre and two kilometres from the old town. This two-floor hotel features 150 guestrooms decorated in a warm Nordic style using 97 per cent recycled materials in line with the hotel's eco-friendly policy. Rooms have wooden floors and brightly-coloured fabrics, and include satellite TV with pay movies, Internet connections, trouser presses and clock radios. Bathrooms come with showers and hair dryers. After a day of sightseeing guests can unwind at the indoor swimming pool and relax in the sauna. More energetic guests can go for a workout in the fitness room or play a game of table tennis. The Restaurant Flygbaronen is furnished in a modern Scandinavian style with wooden floors and leather armchair seating. It is open daily and serves local and international dishes for breakfast, lunch and dinner (lunch only at the weekends). Continental coffees and other beverages are served in the contemporary lobby bar. On weekdays light meals and snacks such as pizza, pies and hot sandwiches are served. The Sigge Cave is the children's playroom where there is plenty to keep kids entertained, including drawing, reading, toys and computer games. Business guests will find meeting rooms for up to eight people, while the largest conference room has a capacity for up to 110 people. There is a dedicated conference manager, audio- visual equipment, and free wireless Internet access is available in all the meeting rooms. Free parking is available on site for 150 cars. Within three kilometres of the hotel guests will find a golf course, the University, the Cathedral, the Air Force Museum and the Old Town.
