From Bilbao Airport (BIO):
Distance to the Novotel Bilbao Barakaldo is 11 kilometres, approximately 15 minutes' drive.
Getting there.
Taxis to the hotel cost approximately 20 EUR and are available from outside the Arrivals building. Every 20 minutes, the Bizkaibus bus 3247 runs between the airport and central Bilbao (Plaza Moyua) and single tickets cost 1.20 EUR. Prices are all subject to change.
Getting around.
Bilbao can be easily explored on foot. Additionally, Bilbao has great metro and light rail systems, and many buses. A CreditTrans card offers public transport discounts of up to 50 per cent. Buses run from Bilbao's main bus terminal to other cities, including connections to San Sebastian and Santander.
Driving directions.
From the airport, follow the motorway in the direction of Santander.
Take Exit 9 for Bilbao Exhibition Centre/Barakaldo.
Follow Resurreccion Maria de Azkue Avenue to its end.
