Driving Directions
Getting there. Taxis are available from the airport, and the typical fare to the hotel is 10 EUR. Trains are also available from the airport to Krakow's main station, 200 metres from the hotel. Krakow is served by a network of buses and trams. It is possible to buy tickets valid for a day or a week for unlimited travel. Single journey tickets are also available and can be used for up to an hour after purchase. Tickets can be bought from street kiosks and the driver, although buying on the bus is more expensive. Passengers must punch the ticket at the beginning of each journey on the bus or tram, and large items of luggage must also be punched on for no charge. Krakow is mostly closed to car traffic, although there is a cycle network. Medieval streets are best explored on foot.
