Location.
Villagg Tas-Sbejha is two kilometres outside Gharb, Malta, on the small island of Gozo to the north of the main island. The nearest beach is one kilometre and there are several bays with good snorkelling within five kilometres.
Hotel Features.
The Villagg Tas-Sbejha hotel is a cluster of apartments built in yellow stone, with arches and wooden beams, surrounding a large landscaped swimming pool with sunbeds for residents. The complex has small meeting rooms and underground parking.
Accommodation at Villagg Tas-Sbejha is self-catering and there is a grocery store 500 metres from the complex. Restaurant Ta 'Frenc, a converted farmhouse with garden for alfresco dining, is two kilometres from the hotel.
There are nearby facilities for aerobics, Pilates and yoga. The beach offers jet skiing, windsurfing, snorkelling, and scuba diving. Bikes and scooters can be hired in Gharb.

The Villagg Tas-Sbejha comprises 26 one-bedroom maisonettes that can each accommodate up to four people. The rustic apartments have cream walls and wooden furniture. Expert Tip. The Church and Basilica on the town square of Gharb was built in 1699. Legend has it that a mother wept for her son kidnapped by Turks in front of the church's painting of St Demetrius, whereupon the saint rode his horse out of the painting to rescue the boy.

Driving Directions
From Malta International Airport (MLA):
Distance to Villagg Tas-Sbejha is 30 kilometres, approximately 60 minutes' drive including a 15-minute ferry journey.
Getting there.
Fixed-rate taxis run between the airport and towns across the island. Fares are approximately 6 MTL to the capital Valletta, 8 MTL to St Julians, Attard and Sliema, and 10 MTL to Bugibba and Qawra. Pre-paid tickets can be purchased from the taxi desk at Arrivals. Bus number 8 runs between the airport and Valletta's main bus terminus every 20 minutes. For travel to Gozo, visitors should travel to the port by taxi, and then take a catamaran or ferry. The journey time is approximately 30 minutes. There is a heliport at the airport for helicopter flights to Gozo. Prices are all subject to change.
Getting around.
A network of buses connects Malta to the main resorts. A day bus pass costs 1.50 MTL. A car is recommended for exploring further afield. Gozo is easily explored by bicycle, on foot, or on bus. High-speed catamarans and ferries operate between Gozo and Malta (Valletta).
Driving directions.
From Malta International Airport, drive to Cirkewwa Harbour in the north of Malta Island where ferries leave for Gozo.
Once in Gozo you arrive in Mgarr Harbour and take the main road to Victoria.
Drive through Victoria following signs to Gharb / San Lawrenz.
Once out of Victoria, follow signs to Gharb, 5 kilometres.
In the square in Gharb facing the church, take the road on the left.
Follow this road for 2 kilometres and you get to a narrow entrance to Birbuba; do not go into this entrance but turn left. As soon as you turn left 20 metres on the right is Villagg Tas-Sbejha.
