Location.
The Valle dell'Erica is located outside the picturesque village of Porto Pozzo, on the island of Sardinia, Italy. The resort is set 200 metres from a sandy cove, four kilometres from the centre of the village, and 12 kilometres from the typical Sardinian town of Santa Teresa di Gallura.
Hotel Features.
Situated on the edge of the National Marine Park of La Maddalena and surrounded by crystal clear seas, there are 18 secluded sandy coves to explore around the hotel. The thalasso and thermal spa is set in granite rocks by the sea and has four multi-function sea water pools, a range of treatments and massages, Turkish bath, sauna, and a gym. There is also a separate outdoor pool as well as a children's pool. Other amenities include 24-hour room service, complimentary parking, and a kids' club.
There are three restaurants within the resort as well as a poolside bar. Children are catered for at Capitan Uncino, while adults can expect buffet and à la carte options at a variety of eateries including one on the beach. Breakfast and dinner is included for guests on the half-board rate.
La Piazetta is a pleasant meeting place within the resort with shops, a piano bar, nightclub and open-air theatre. For golfers, there are practise and chipping greens with views over the ocean. Lessons and golf clubs are available. The hotel operates pleasure boat rides from the cove and inflatable boat hire.
Guestrooms.
There are 140 guestrooms and suites with terraces and private entrances. Rooms are decorated in whites and pale blues with light toned soft furnishings and canopied beds. Amenities include satellite television, direct-dial phones, and safes. Half board rates are available.
Expert Tip. For those wishing to travel Sardinia coast-to-coast, the Trenino Verde, or green train, is a pleasant way of travelling. Carving its way through otherwise inaccessible areas, the views are spectacular. The train can be caught from Palau.

Driving Directions
From Olbia Costa Smeralda Airport (OLB):
Distance to Resort Valle Dell'Erica is 57 kilometres, approximately 60 minutes' drive.
Getting there.
The best way to get to the hotel is to hire a car. An alternative is to book airport transport a day in advance via the hotel's booking office and pay on arrival. Fly2Bus provides private transfers to any destination in Sardinia. Prices are all subject to change.
Getting around.
Sardinia is served by a good public bus network. Direct trains run from Olbia train station to Sassari, Cagliari, and Golfo Aranci. A hire car is required for exploring the island's more remote areas.
Driving directions. From Olbia airport follow signs for Arzachena/Costa Smeralda. From Arzachena follow the signs for Santa Teresa di Gallura. Pass through the little town of Porto Pozzo. 100 metres after the junction of Conca Verde there is a small sign on the right hand side for Valle dell'Erica.
