The Relais Alla Corte del Sole is located on the border between Umbria and Tuscany in Petrignano del Lago, within 16 kilometres of Montepulciano city centre. It is 17 kilometres from Cortona city centre, and Terontola train station is 10 kilometres from the hotel.

Getting there.
Taxis into Petrignano del Lago cost approximately 160 EUR. An airport bus departs for Florence's Santa Maria Novella Station, where trains run to Terontola train station. Single tickets cost 6 EUR. Terravision coaches travel to central Florence and Pisa Airport. Tickets cost 12 EUR, and the price includes a one-day pass for Florence's city buses. Prices are all subject to change.
Getting around.
The Umbrian and Tuscany regions are served by an extensive transportation system. Buses and trains traverse the area surrounding Petrignano del Lago and Castiglione del Lago in Perugia. A car is useful for exploring more of the wine regions in Tuscany and beyond.
Driving directions.From either Milan or Rome take the A1 motorway and take Exit 28 for Valdichiana. Turn right and follow signs for Perugia. After about 12 kilometres, after the second exit for Cortona, turn left and follow signs for Montepulciano. After six kilometres turn left and pass through Petrignano. After Petrignano the hotel is a little further on the left.
