Kids will enjoy a day out at Palmyre Zoo, 12 kilometres from the hotel, which is set in 33 acres of forest and sand dunes and is home to 1,600 animals, including elephants, polar bears, and monkeys. Most of the town of Royan, 14 kilometres from the hotel, was destroyed during the Second World War, but examples of its former Belle Epoque splendour and Art Nouveau style can be seen in the Quartier de Pontaillac. La Rochelle Airport is 100 kilometres away and can be reached by car in approximately 75 minutes.

Driving Directions
- Taxis are available from outside the airport. The closest train station is at Royan, 20 kilometres away; taxis are available from the station. Driving directions: From the airport, take the A10 motorway via Tours, Poitiers and Niort, and exit at Saintes. Then take road N150 towards Royan. From Royan, follow the dual carriageway and exit Saujon and follow signs for Tremblade/Etaules/les Mathes. Pass Breuillet/Etaule. At the entrance to Arvert, turn left at the traffic lights, and turn left towards Les Mathes. Cross the village of Les Mathes towards La Palmyre. At the second roundabout, follow signs for Luna Park and drive for about 200 metres. The residence is on the right.
