Driving Directions
- Black and white taxis are available from the airport to the hotel and cost approx. 10 US dollars. Limousines cost approx. 25 US dollars and leave from outside the Arrivals hall. An airport bus service operates from Terminal 1 (Old Airport). One of the best ways to explore Cairo is by the inexpensive Metro system. Buses and minibuses are still the most common form of transport, although taxis are a better option for visitors. Boats depart frequently for University, a landing over on the Giza side of the river. Every second boat continues south to Manial, Rhoda, Giza and Masr al-Qadima (old Cairo).
