The hotel is five miles from Layou Hot Springs and 11 miles from Roseau, a good spot to shop for native crafts. The Melville Hall Airport is an hour by car. The Castaways offers 26 rooms, along with a collection of terraces, open-air restaurant and bar that beckons sunset watchers. Each room has air conditioning, refrigerator, coffeemaker, offers a beach or island view. The hotel's on-site PADI dive shop, Dive Castaways, offers dive packages, certification courses, and dives along the lee side of the island. Other on- site recreation options include tennis, beach volleyball, and table tennis. Whale-watching, rafting, and rappelling can be arranged by the hotel.
